Africa Media Society (AMS) is a media and human rights organization that was formed in the
Republic of South Sudan in 2020 by the following categories: journalists, human rights defenders
and civil society activists in South Sudan and Kenya plus other African countries. The purpose of
the establishment is to spearhead approaches and efforts to help improve media landscape,
welfare of the media workers, gender equality, human rights and democracy among others. We
have been partnering with Democracy International (DI), UNFRAMED MEDIA, United Nations
Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Coalition for Humanity, Center for Languages & Translation
(CLT) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the last three years.
